Ed Alonzo
With his big round glasses, mild expression and tall curly hair, Ed Alonzo looks more like a strange college professor than the country's foremost comedy illusionist. While most magicians use a dramatic flair to build to a crescendo, Ed raises his audience's anticipation with laughter. He developed his interest in magic at a very young age.
By the time he was seven, Ed was already performing in his own puppet and magic shows for friends and family. While in his teens, he became one of the youngest comedy/magicians ever to perform at the world famous Magic Castle in Hollywood and was named "Magician of the Year" by the Academy of Magical Arts Junior Society.
Although his first love is magic, many people may recognize Ed as a television actor. He was one of the stars of the NBC sitcom Saved By The Bell and was a regular on the CBS Saturday morning children's program XUXA. This multi-talent entertainer has also made appearances on shows such as General Hospital, Full House and he was a huge hit when he played one of the secretaries on Murphy Brown. In addition, Ed has appeared on over 100 major television variety shows ranging from The Howie Mandel Show to The Disneyland All-Star Comedy Circus.
Ed Alonzo continues to win audiences over throughout the world with his magic touch and wild madcap sense of humor.
